What is TechGirls?

TechGirls is an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire young girls from the Middle East and North Africa to pursue careers in the field of STEM.

It's an initiative of the US Department of State Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and it is administrated by Legacy International.

During TechGirls, we were engaged in 45+ hours of hands-on instruction in Virginia Tech University. This camp included a technical training with Java coding and mobile apps development.

Added to that, we had a leadership clinics, cultural awareness and project planning and management trainings.

In addition to these activities, we got the chance to meet Tech professionals and to spend a Job shodow day in an American company.
